The beach of Lygia village is a typical, emerald coloured coast on the east side of Lefkada. One of the best features of Lygia beach is its very easy access, because this place can be reached directly next to the main road – the only drawback is the limited number of parking spaces next to the road. The seabed of Lygia beach is filled with coarse sand, gravel and a lot of pebbles in the water. The shore is organized at some places, which means in the center of the village you can find some parasols and sunbeds for rent. Families with children visit this beach often, because the Ionian Sea is usually calm and shallow on the east coast of Lefkada.
Almost the entire coastline of Lygia can be suitable for swimming and sunbathing, or just for a relax for a few hours, but it’s worth to known that due to pebbles and stones swimming shoes can be recommended at some places. On the southern side of Ligia village you can visit a small water park called Panos Water Sports & Fun Park, which is great fun for children.
