Dragano is one of the smallest villages in the west mountains of Lefkada Island, where a lot of local farmers live. This tiny settlement is surrounded mostly by olive groves, pine forests and grapeyards, most locals are working in agriculture.

Informations which you should know about Dragano in Lefkada Island

The village of Dragano lies further away from significant settlements of Lefkada Island, because it is located 27 kilometers away from the capital, 40 kilometers away from Nidri and 18 kilometers away from Vasiliki.

The farmers of Dragano produce extra virgin olive oils in excellent quality, and we must mention other important local goods: wines, honey products such as propolis, bee wax, honeycombs and of course many varietes of delicious honey. Visitors of the area can taste or buy bee products of Dragano, primarily in small wood kiosks, which were built next to the main road.

This area is well known for its apiaries in Lefkada, and the other significant village of this region, Athani is also famous for it.

There are not much sights in the village, the main attractions are the amazing beaches of the west coast: Gialos beach is located 5 kilometers away, and to reach the famous stairs of Egremni beach you have to drive 7 kilometers. If you plan your trip in the area of Dragano, don’t forget to visit an iconic sight of Lefkada, the lighthouse of Cape Doukato, which is situated approx. 18 kilometers away from here.
