The village is known as a small tourist resort in the northern side of Lefkada, with some apartments, shops and other facilities.
Tsoukalades is located only a few kilometres west from Lefkada town, between the capitol and Agios Nikitas village. It was built in the mountains, and there is no exit to the sea. Next to the main road was built some taverns and supermarkets, this is the area of tourism. The center of Tsoukalades (the old village) is a little further away than the main road, therefore road signs show the way.
The streets of Tsoukalades village are surrounded by pine forests and olive trees, so if you like green belted areas, will like these street views too.
The village is recommanded for those who like calm atmospheres, and a good starting point to discover the western beaches. The closest beaches among the famous ones are Pefkoulia (5′ driving), Mylos (10′ driving) and Kathisma beach (15′ driving). These beaches are in close proximity, but you have to go by car or bike to reach them.
Some apartments and studios for rent are also available in Tsoukalades, and if you would like to stay here, just check the list of accomodations here.
