Exceptional shallow sea and turquoise water colours are the main features of Agios Ioannis beach, only a few kilometres away from the capital of Lefkada.
Agios Ioannis is a fully organized area with some beach bars and taverns behind the long cove. The sea is shallow here almost everywhere, so families with smaller children come here often in the summer months. In the northern side of the beach there are some unused, old stone windmills, one of them operates as a beach bar.
Agios Ioannis beach is situated very close to Lefkada town, therefore many locals of the capitol choose this beach during summertime. They come here to enjoy swimming in the crystal clear Ionian Sea, and the trip takes only a few minutes.
