The best options for nudism in Lefkada island for 2026

Now let’s see the good news! There are several secluded beaches or beach parts in Lefkada Island. You can find places far away from the crowds, where you can take off your clothes safely. Some of the local beaches are long and wide (especially on the west coast and in the north), most of these are organized only in the central areas.

These coasts are parts of Lefkada nudist beaches, and altough most of these are not naturism only places, many beaches have their own secluded spots, even in high season months.

Agios Ioannis north – Gira west

The area of Agios Ioannis is well known for its old, ruined windmills and amazing kitesurf potentials. If you go further to north and leave the windmills, you can find some secluded places for nudism certainly. This part of Agios Ioannis beach is usually much less visited, even during high season months. This area is quite long between the windmill and Gira beach (Gyra), which can be recommended for naturists.

You have to know there is no natural shade and the winds blow often from west, but if you want to be almost alone and you prefer Lefkada nudist beaches, keep in mind this place.

Pefkoulia beach, south & north

The main parts of the amazing Pefkoulia beach are organized by sunbeds and have many visitors, because the famous DECK bar operates here. But you have two options, if you would like to visit Pefkoulia and you are looking for places for nudism. Find the most southern parts of the beach with large rocks, or go to the north, in the direction of the famous lookout.

The north side of Pefkoulia is slighly better for nudism, and we mention often on the list of Lefkada nudist beaches – the shore is much longer, and your personal space can be also much larger. Natural shades are missing, so you have to bring your own umbrella or beach tent.

Milos beach south

A few years ago the south part (at the giant steep rocky form) was the primary destination for nudists in Mylos beach. But be aware, in recent years this situation changed a lot. This amazing beach on the west coast of Lefkada Island has become much more popular in recent years, and sometimes the taxi boat, which take passengers from Agios Nikitas to Mylos, disembark here.

During high season months, especially in July and in August this place near the cliffs can be crowded, so always make sure the actual conditions, and for nudists / naturists this place is much better in early low season, or a few weeks after high season.

Kathisma beach

Kathisma beach is very popular travel destination in Lefkada Island, and most of the people think this bay doesn’t belong to Lefkada nudist beaches, but don’t worry! Just walk to the southernmost point, where the large rocks are, and further away from the last buildings. After 100-300 meters there are much less visitors, and usually this place is recommended for naturists, where nudism is allowed in the area of Kathisma beach.

This is also the north part of Gaidaros beach, which is connected by a dirt path.

Best places for nudism in Lefkada – Gaidaros beach, Megali Petra beach

Gaidaros beach is one of the best places for nudism in Lefkada. Most parts of the coast are not crowded and not organized as other local beaches, but the natural beauty of the area is indisputable. The second best option for naturism is the the south side of Megali Petra beach, which is also recommended for nudists. Just walk further and leave the large rocks, more than 300 meters from the central areas.

As several naturists say and we also confirm, probably these two are the best places among Lefkada nudist beaches to enjoy naturism.

Gialos beach

On the west coast Gialos beach is far away from the crowds, and can be also a great location for naturism. Gialos beach is known as one of the most favourite beaches among naturists in Lefkada island, but you have to go further from the organized areas.

The lack of Gialos beach for naturism is that its more secluded places, remoted areas have larger stones in the sea.

Egremni beach

Before the strong earthquake destroyed the road and the stairs of Egremni beach in 2015, the north and south parts of this long and beautiful beach were recommended destinations for nudism. After the beach was only accessible by boat, Egremni lost its significance for nudism for a few years.

Since 2021, after the asphalt road and the stairs of Egremni were renovated, you can walk down again, and this amazing coast belong again to Lefkada nudist beaches. If you arrive in the morning before the crowds and excursion boats, you can find secluded places on both sides.

Nudist beaches on the east coastline of Lefkada Island

On the east coast there are just a few tiny secluded coves, which belong to Lefkada nudist beaches. The public beaches of the east, such as Afteli, Ammousa, Mikros Gialos, etc are much smaller, where can’t be find hidden areas or secluded parts. Some smaller abandoned bays and sections maybe, which can be reached only by boats, but many of these belong to a distant villa or apartment.
