A little closer to the nature: if you would like to spend your holiday in Lefkada campings, you can find some well-equipped official camping sites. Most of the campings of Lefkada are surrounded with lush vegetation, shady olive groves and other mediterranean trees and bushes. You can choose your favourite Lefkada camping on the island by location, because with one exception most of local campings were built on the east coast of the island. Only one official camping operates on the west coast, between Agios Nikitas and Kathisma beach.
In Lefkada campings you can find the basic facilites for travelers with caravans, like common showers, washing machines, reception, warm water, electricity, toilets, etc.
Lefkada Camping Desimi
This camping site is a popular place for campers, because it is located in a calm and picturesque bay called Desimi beach and has several basic services. In the area there are two of campings, this will be the first which you will meet in the southwest. Camping Desimi was the first official among Lefkada campings, founded in the year of 1973. The place is located in the shade of the mountains, surrounded by old olive trees. You can dock your boat if you have one, or you can also rent a small boat or kayak at this place. A small family tavern operates here as well with traditional Greek meals. Camping Desimi is open from the first days of April till the end of October.

Lefkada Camping Santa Maura
The camping is situated in the east side of Desimi beach, about one kilometer away from the other camping site. It is managed by two Greek owners, who speak also English and a little bit Italian. The campsite is spacious and has many shady parts, which are connected by narrow concrete roads. If you have a small boat, in this camping you can also take your boat into the water. Camping Santa Maura is a pet friendly place, where dogs and small pets are allowed. Next to the camping there is a small beach bar, where you can buy some drink and food.

Camping Vassiliki beach
The camping operates directly next to the main road of Vasiliki village. This place is known as one of the best Lefkada campings with all the facilites you need. The center of Vasiliki village is a few minutes walk, and also the local beach is just about 50 meters away from this camping.

Poros beach Camping and Bungalows
The camping is located just a few steps from the emerald coloured Mikros Gialos beach. It was founded more than 40 years ago, so it is one of the oldest campings in Lefkada island. Poros Beach camping is situated on the slopes of a hill and it is surrounded by old olive trees, orange trees and vineyards. There is a pool for the guests of the camping, a small playground for children, supermarket, and a corner for computers. This camping has ranked by guests in the top 3 campings in Lefkada. The facility has also a tavern and some furnished studios and apartments.

Camping Kathisma
Among Lefkada campings is the only one, which is located in the west coast: you can find this place between Agios Nikitas village and Kathisma beach, its gates opens directly the main road. It provides for guests a green area with a lot of olive trees and many shady places. You can find here basic facilites like common showers, hot water, reception, washing machines.

Camping Kariotes
This camping was founded in 1979, in suburban area of Kariotes village. Camping Kariotes is located about 4 kilometres from Lefkada town, so this is the nearest camping to the island’s entrance. It has a courtyard surrounded by olive groves, cypruss trees and other plants, with a pool. The camping of Kariotes is situated a few hundred meters from the Ionian Sea. There is a small tavern inside with some basic Greek meals.
