Passa beach Lefkada island

Passa beach is known for its emerald waters and lush vegetation in Lefkada Island, located on the east coast. On some maps you can find this place as Perigiali beach (Παραλία Περιγιάλι in Greek language), because this coast is situated between Nikiana and Perigiali villages, and someone know it as or Pasha beach (Παραλία Πασά).

Where to find Passa beach in Lefkada Island, and how to access

Passa beach is located on the east coast of Lefkada Island, approx. 14 kilometers away from the capital and 3 kilometers away from Nidri, near of Perigiali village. The access of Passa beach is quite easy, because this coast is situated directly next to the east main road.

There can be seen a road sign of Perigiali as well, which literally indicate the bay for visitors. Directly next to the road you can find some free parking lots, so you can park your car or scooter easily here. From the main road the Ionian Sea is situated just a few steps away, so Passa beach has one of the most easiest access on the east coastline of Lefkada Island.

You have to know the interesting fact, that Passa beach is divided into two parts, so first you have to choose between north or south! And as you can see on the picture above, some maps and websites are wrong when they mention this place as Pasha beach, instead as Passa, which is correct!

What to find at Passa beach, best features and things to know

Both sides of Passa beach look like quite similar, where the shore is quite narrow and filled by coarse sand and pebbles. This beach is a typical place on the northeast coastline of Lefkada Island, with lush vegetation behind the Ionian Sea.

We have to mention that Passa beach belong to unorganized Lefkada beaches, so usually there can’t be find parasols and sunbeds for rent, or beach bars with meals and music. One of the best features of Passa beach is the calmness of the sea, which lacks bigger waves, and makes snorkeling and diving much more enjoyable.

Passa beach is not so well known on the east coast of Lefkada Island as other beaches, such as the long beach of Nidri village, Mikros Gialos beach or the southern hidden gems, so at most of the time it os not overcrowded. In front of the beach you can clearly see the Greek mainland, where higher than a thousand meters and bare mountains are the most important attractions to see.

Other significant beaches in this area are Nidri beach about 2 kilometers in the south and Nikiana beach 4,5 kilometers away in the north.

Most visitors of Passa beach are the travellers who stay in the apartments and hotels of Perigiali village. This is a small seaside resort on the north side of Nidri, situated just a kilometer away from there.

Perigiali beaches are situated along the narrow coastline near Passa beach. These are unorganized places with pebbles and shallow sea, offering options to sunbathe and for swimming, as you can see on the photo above.

Where to stay

The nearest accommodations to Passa beach were built in Perigiali and in Nydri, the two villages are almost touch each other. Perigiali is much calmer than the bustling Nidri, but they were literally almost integrated. These villages are connected to each other by the main road, which leads on the east coast of Lefkada Island.
