Madouri Island is an uninhabitated islet of Greece, located near the east coast of Lefkada Island, in front of Nidri. When you visit Nidri on your holiday in Lefkada, find the port and you will see this small islet: the tiny Madouri (Μαδουρή in Greek language) is situated just about 600 meters from the village, and you can easily recognize this island from its yellow coloured, lonely house in the middle.

The island has also a miniature forest, where hundreds of pine trees and medirranean bushes are living: the entire area, except the lonely building is covered by lush vegetation. A heart-shaped Madouri Island is a private area of Greece, since decades the island is a property of Valaoritis family. For the small rented boats mooring is not allowed.
It’s worth to known that Madouri Island lacks apartments and studios, there were built just a small pier and a house. The daily boat excursions, which offer boat trips from Nidri village sail away directly next to this islet after departure.
